Adds a 4MP WiFi-enabled camera with a conventional compound microscope to produce a microscopy device that can be used by students and researchers at a lab table with the ability to show the view to several people in a room, hundreds in a lecture hall, thousands attending an online seminar, or millions watching a YouTube video.
The head is equipped with binocular-view 10x wide field eyepieces that, when combined with the four objectives, produce magnifications from 40x to 1000x with an integrated multiphase contrast system to make viewing transparent or translucent subjects easy without dyes. The optical performance is complemented by a dual-speed rack-and-pinion focuser, Siedentopf-style head, left-eye dioptric correction, and a wide interpupillary adjustment range—making it easy to achieve tack-sharp views and convenient for multiple people to share the eyepieces. A large tray features a mechanical specimen holder, a 1.25 rack-and-pinion Abbe condenser, and an iris-style diaphragm.
